Joy goes above and beyond for her dogs and puppies!! We have always had Labrador retrievers. This is our first golden retriever. Joy walked us through EVERYTHING before bringing our puppy home. She invited us to her house on two occasions to meet and select our puppy. She also followed up after we brought her home. Joy makes us feel like family! We only wish we found her sooner! We had previously lost our family's golden retriever a year prior and had been casually looking for a good fit to get a new puppy. One day in Lowe's, I unexpectedly happened to meet Carrie and Kirk and their new English cream golden puppy named Aspen. I asked them questions and played with Aspen as they told me about Joyful Goldens. Shortly thereafter, we reached out to Joy at Joyful Golden Retrievers and got to pay her a visit at her home. We met their main male dog, Fisher, and another female, Nala. Everything about how they did things felt right. They carefully and deliberately breed these dogs the right way, perform genetic testing, screen the dogs for common health issues, and ensure they are raised properly with love, stimulation, and the necessary skills to ensure they become great companions. The entire process with Joyful Goldens could not have been better. Joy communicates, ensures understanding, and makes sure you will both be a good fit for the dog in addition to the dog being a good fit for you. Within the year, we were informed of an upcoming litter and were able to go choose our puppy. We chose a snuggly and playful little male with a blue collar and would name him Beau. He has been an incredible dog since then and we absolutely recommend Joyful Goldens to anyone looking for a golden retriever or more specifically, a cream golden retriever.
